課程概述 |
全球暖化已經成為人類必需積極處理的重要生存議題,將碳排放「市場化」(marketisation)已成為解決此環境問題的重要手段。農業部門從生產、流通到銷售,也在碳交易市場的壓力下,如何轉型?如何面對新的碳排計量方式(metrics)、算計?如何透過界入「碳」的知識生產以面對全球碳交易市場的衝繫等?這些議題在社會科學界已經累積了許多論辯,特別是來自於科技與社會研究所啟發的「社會科學市場化與經濟化」(Social Studies of Economisation and Marketisation, SSEM)的相關研究。為了了解市場化與經濟化研究取徑如何看待碳交易市場以及農業部門如何回應此問題,本課程分為二大部份,前一部份聚焦在經濟化與市場化的理論發展,特別將重點放在Michel Callo及其同事最重要的相關著作。也包含Michel Callon近期的重要專書:Callon, M. (2021). Markets in the making : rethinking competition, goods, and innovation (translated by Custer, Olivia and edited by Poon, Martha). Zone Books.。透過系統性、批判性地閱讀這本重要探討市場化以及經濟化的重作,有助於我們理解當今碳交易市場的成形。而在課程的第二部份,則是從經濟化與市場化的觀點,(一) 來理解農業如何成為解決氣候變遷的介面;(二) 農民的在地知識及身體知識如何理解氣候;(三)新能源技術對於鄉發展的衝擊。 |
